Atmosphere by Taylor Jenkins Reid
I've read everything by Taylor Jenkins Reid and always love her characters more than anything else. I feel like she dives so deep into these characters they become real people. And that was certainly true here. Even the side characters felt like real friends now hovering at the edges of my social circle.
Light spoilers ahead...
The only thing that sticks out to me in an unsatisfying way is that the ending is a bit too open re: the other passenger and I keep wondering what happened there. There was such a focus on getting help for that person that I wanted a hint that everything was okay. Part of me thinks that's implied by the landing, but I would have loved an epilogue.
